Apple Cider Vinegar: Everything You Need to Know

Apple cider vinegar is a huge trend right now, and we’re incredibly excited to unveil the new Garden of Life and Organics collection of 100% vegan, organic apple cider vinegar gummies.

What is Apple Cider Vinegar?

Apple cider vinegar is a type of vinegar made from fermented apple juice. It’s made from crushed apples; the juice is squeezed out, and the sugar produced is fermented to make the vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar contains a substance known as acetic acid, and it’s also rich in live bacteria.

Organic apple cider vinegar is at the heart of the Organics Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies range of supplements.

How to Take Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar can be used in salad dressings, marinades and chutneys, but it isn’t always the most pleasant-tasting substance to consume on its own. It’s also highly acidic, so be mindful of how you consume it to help protect your teeth.

Gummies can be a much tastier (and tooth-friendly!) way to take apple cider vinegar. Our Organics Apple Cider Vinegar Gummies are easy and convenient to take; each formula has a different recommended dosage, so always check the package instructions before adding apple cider vinegar to your routine.

What’s Apple Cider Vinegar with ‘Mother’?

You might have seen ‘the mother’ mentioned in relation to apple cider vinegar. Unfiltered apple cider vinegar contains what’s known as ‘the mother’. Apple cider vinegar with ‘mother’ is much darker and may look as though it has wispy bits floating in it.

‘The mother’ is thought to be a good source of live bacteria, including acetic acid bacteria.

Filtered apple cider vinegar doesn’t have these extra bits in it, so if you want that additional live bacteria, look for apple cider vinegar with ‘mother’.
